On Tuesday, August 4, we opened our doors to the Lalbenque-based association “Les Mélodies du Causse” for a classical music concert in the castle courtyard.
It was in this magnificent setting that the Varèse Quartet and Sylvain Linon performed Franz Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden” and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata, Op. 47.
Violin, viola, and double bass… The notes echoed off the walls of the château and the former stables throughout the evening. Exceptional acoustics and spectacular lighting.
The castle has come back to life. A first evening after seven years of renovation.
This evening, which allowed us to rediscover the venue’s potential, will undoubtedly be the first in a long series of events and festivities!
